Alumni Take to the Court for Thanksgiving Basketball Game
The annual Alumni Thanksgiving Basketball Game on Saturday, November 30 featured dozens of alumni returning to Dalton's 87th Street Gym to participate in this special tradition. The event brought together graduates spanning decades, with participants ranging from the Class of ’92 to more recent classes.
The game featured two spirited teams: the "Youngsters," led by Peter Gardner ’18 and Mark Engel ’20, and the "Vets," comprising alumni from earlier graduating years. The competitive matchup kept spectators on the edge of their seats, with the Youngsters ultimately securing a 10-point victory.
Among the highlights of the day was the return of Henry Lowe ’12, whose post-Dalton basketball career included being part of Villanova University’s 2016 NCAA championship-winning team. His presence on the court added an extra layer of excitement to the game.
The teams capped off the event with a post-game pizza celebration, fostering camaraderie and connection across generations.
A heartfelt thank you to all the alumni who participated and to those who came to cheer on the teams. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
