Whiskey Bravo’s HEROES Program Honors Front Line Workers
The HEROES program, part of the High School club Whiskey Bravo, is a way to support local restaurants while honoring the courageous men and women on the front lines fighting COVID-19.
Proceeds from the HEROES program are being used to purchase meals which local restaurants prepare and deliver to healthcare workers and first responders. Through the HEROES program, almost 400 meals have been delivered in the last 2 weeks. EMTs and paramedics— who have been working 12-hour shifts often without meal breaks—have especially appreciated these meals. At the very least, these meals show our support and gratitude to these brave men and women who are risking their own health to help others.
New York City may be on the brink of losing a vibrant restaurant industry. But, because we order all food from neighborhood restaurants, these funds contribute to the local economy and help restaurants pay their employees.
