Senior Alumni Committee Hosts Museum Visit Followed by School Lunch and Tour
Dalton’s Alumni Council Senior Committee — which plans events and outings for Alumni 65 years and older — hosted a museum and Dalton visit on November 18 with 12 alumni from the Classes of 1940-1977.
After visiting the “Making Home” exhibit at The Cooper Hewitt Museum, attendees experienced a delicious “meatless Monday” lunch in Dalton’s bustling cafeteria. They were accompanied by members of the Advancement Team, including Director of Alumni Relations Nicholas Lechich '06 and Associate Director of Alumni Relations Debbie Freeman.
History Teacher Dr. Shira Kohn joined the group to talk about a new high school course she is teaching called “Going Forth Unafraid: The History of Dalton” and the important role of oral histories. Members of the Classes of 1940-1992 interested in participating should email Shira directly at skohn@dalton.org. To wrap up the day, Nick guided a tour of select floors at the 89th Street building.
