• Welcome to the Library

  We welcome all community members and Dalton visitors to our Libraries.  
  The High School Library serves grades 9-12 on the 4th floor of our 89th Street location.

• Library Hours

  Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 6:00pm
  Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

• HS Library Expectations

  All students are expected to:
  
  

  Be productive.

  Come prepared with classwork, research, reading, or other academic pursuits.

   

  Speak quietly.

  Keep voices quiet and non-distracting.

   

  Respect the communal workspace.

  Be aware of other students, faculty, and staff who are working in the library.

  Push in chairs, throw away trash, etc.

  Drinks with secure lids and small, packaged snacks are permitted.

• Circulation

  Items may be checked out as follows:

  Books - fiction - three weeks
  Books - nonfiction - two weeks

  DVDs - one week

  Renewals are always granted unless a Hold has been placed on the item.
  
  Library items are shared by our community of students, faculty, staff, and parents.  Please be considerate and return items in a timely manner.

• Damaged/Lost Materials

  Please notify a librarian of Lost or Damaged items.  Replacements will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
