Boys and Girls Basketball Both Start Seasons with Tournament Win

The Boys' team rallied to beat Grace in the opening round before topping Packer in the championship game. In the championship game, Dalton jumped all over the visiting Pelicans with an 18-6 run to start the fourth quarter and never looked back, winning 77-57. At one point, Dalton led by 42 points combined from Senior Ayden Khalid and Sophomore Noah Khalid.

The Girls' team used a balanced offense with five players in double figures to defeat Trevor in its opener before beating Grace in the final. Strong offensive performances by Juniors Izzy Wesley and Nyla Blake-Soden and six three-pointers from Senior Susannah Zimmerman clinched the win.
