Boys Varsity Basketball junior, Noah Khalid reached a monumental milestone this season, scoring his 1,000th career point in a thrilling matchup against Riverdale. The gym erupted in cheers as Khalid hit the milestone shot—a buzzer-beater to end the first quarter.
Breaking the 1,000-point mark is a significant achievement. Achieving the milestone in just 2.5 seasons is an extraordinary achievement, placing Noah among Dalton’s most elite athletes. He becomes only the third Tiger to reach this mark, joining Ryan Ewers ’95 and Mary Ashley Stevenson ’23. This achievement is made even more special by the fact that the Khalid brothers now stand back-to-back as Dalton’s most recent Boys Basketball players to reach this historic milestone, with Noah continuing the legacy set by his older brother, Ayden Khalid ’24, who reached 1,000 points just last season.
This season, Khalid has undoubtedly been a standout, averaging 25 points per game. His impact goes far beyond scoring, as his assists, steals, and all-around playmaking have been crucial to the team’s success. As the season enters its final stretch, we are all eagerly anticipating what’s next for Khalid and the team.
