Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball teams on qualifying for the NYSAIS Class B Postseason Tournament!
The Girls Varsity Basketball team dominated the regular season, earning the #1 seed in the tournament after an impressive fourth consecutive undefeated Ivy League title (12-0) and finishing with 22 wins overall. They will host #8 seed Lawrence Woodmere in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, February 19, at 5:00 PM at the 87th Street Gym.
The Boys Varsity Basketball team secured the #5 seed following a thrilling buzzer-beater victory over Hackley to end the regular season. They will face #4 seed Long Island Lutheran Regional on the road in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, February 19, at 5:00 PM at LUHI.

The winter postseason has already been successful for the Tigers. For the first time since 2019, Dalton’s Varsity Wrestling team crowned two NYSAIS champions - Carlos Rohm ’26 and Sami Uyanik ’25. Both wrestlers will compete at the NY State Wrestling Championship in Albany on February 28.
Both Boys and Girls Squash teams qualified for the NYSAIS Tournament. The Girls team, seeded 8th, faced a tough challenge against the top-seeded Spence, while the Boys fought hard but ultimately fell to #3 seed Avenues.
There’s even more to look forward to this winter postseason as members of the Dalton Varsity swim team have qualified for the NYSAIS Championship meet next Friday and Saturday. Additionally, the Indoor Track team will wrap up their season at the Ivy Championship on Wednesday, February 19, at 5:30 PM at The Armory. Qualifying athletes will advance to the NYSAIS Indoor Track Championship on Friday, February 28.
